Inspired by the special needs community, "Apple Juice with No Ice" tells the story of Joey, who reluctantly accepts a new job taking Miles, a high school boy with special needs, out to dinner each week. Over the course of this heartfelt coming-of-age short film, Joey forms an unexpected and genuine bond with Miles, dismantling the stereotypes he once held. In the end, he learns the true meaning of friendship. And that life is better with no ice.
